Iv sent an email to dvla and iv alos asked a solicitor at my work who deals with that and he says exactly the same as me, when the email comes back il post it!

aye, i think they will too - probably a certificate to state that all windows are within legal limits.
But lee, i doubt they will go around her old mans place and shut him down  Worse case, he might get a phone call, unless theres written proof that he stated that the car was legally sound - in which case it may go further.....

My dad's got illegal tints on his Focus, the 'tinters' told him it would be illegal if he had them done but they can do them for him if he wanted, so he just said yea go on...
Our cars black, rear lights black, ALL windows tinted, exhaust system.. real nice motor..
NEVER been pulled once.. and had it done a year or so ago!! Police don't even glance..

whats a solicitor got to do with the dvla and vosa?
End of the day they say take them off you take them off or your car becomes unroadworthy. However if your solicitor can prove otherwise thattints are allowed then i feel he will become a very rich man when the 100's of people who have had them removed go to him.

we know that, the company who did the tints said they were going to be illegal if they did them, but they still did it for us..
Not once been pull and they're deffo illegal, can't see passenger or driver from the side.. really dark

if i am wrong which i don't think i am then fine but on the other hand if they were sooooo ilegal then the police would stop every car that has got them they only pick out certain cars if it was soooo wrong then surely they would tell everyone to take them off! Really its just police bein arses!!!

the police cant inforce it they have to have vosa staff with them to test the car. Up here if they have the vosa with them then everyone they can stop is stopped.

isnt it tinitng film thats illegal cos it sticks onto the windows? u can have proper tinted glass if it lets in 70% light, my mums mini came out the factory with front tints
