You'd be surprised - there was an (iirc) AutoCar article that stated a RRS bettered most BMWs and was only a few feet over what a Carrera S can achieve.

If a RRS can keep tabs with a Carrera S in stopping then i don't doubt it can out stop a bike.

Can we just get back to that point that, objectively, the bikers were acting like idiots, the RR driver panicked and while it's a shame that some guy got paralyzed just maybe he should have figured that trying to shut down an interstate to do motorcycle tricks with his gang of loons wasn't all too good an idea in the first place.
No matter Karl's scientific calculations on breaking distances of the vehicles involved, the bikers were being dicks and it ended up biting them in the ass.

To have anyone even think about defending the guy who brake checked a vehicle on a freeway at what looks to be at least 40mph beggars belief. Whether it's a Caterham or a 5 tonne digger, whether their brakes are milk bottle tops or ceramics, it's a complete dick move.
I'll admit I thought the RR was being a bit hasty when he blasted over a group of them but considering that he actually stopped in the first place after the brake check incident suggests he's got a pretty level head on his shoulders. For the guy to then go visually batshit crazy suggests that the bikers were acting like wankers, never minding the fact that apparently they're known for doing the very same thing on purpose as someone mentioned.
