Van (diesel) about £200 on an average month. One month last year when I was flat out and travelling across various counties I did £500 in a month iirc.

Car (petrol) - well no average as it keeps fcuking breaking. £35 lasts around 300 miles and that hasn't happened all that often since I've owned it. Done around 1k miles in it since last October / November.

What's more depressing is fuel costs aside, for every mile I've driven, I've spent £1 fixing it

Before I had a bird it was 20 quid if that. Now it's maybe 40 or 50 quid.

I work during the week and have the works car and I'm pissed at the weekends, no time for driving.

Well I dont go out driving just for the sake of it? I'm not 17 any more...

I like cars and enjoy driving them but I get to do that when going to work or doing social things. Dont need to go out randomly driving round wasting fuel and money to get enjoyment out of my car

I wasn't meaning for people to explain themselves I just thought people would drive more. Going for a drive doesn't make you 17 years old there's nothing better than a random drive IMO.

I'm used to an hour long commute to work so forget other people live minutes from work sometimes, I wish I did
