I wouldn't say that every Saxo will be less reliable than every Corsa. It's the luck of the draw! And aye, a black top VTR will be slower than a Sport, but a silvertop won't!

Didnt u swap your last vtr because it had an issue with the driveshaft??? If so a saxo is probely not for you. Go for the corsa

lol

would have to choose the corsa really,

saxo's eat gearboxes like stated before and if its a TU engine 8v engines then it is going to leak oil everywhere as the head gasket fails all the time.. only thing i found to stop it was when changing the head gasket was to tighten the head down 5nm more than manufacturers spec and it seemed to stop it

corsa in a crash to they are pritty much as bad as each other and after being in a shunt in my corsa, and seeing the aftermath of a nova and saxo smash i would choose the corsa hands down..

and also if your a tall bugger with big feet then you are going to struggle to drive a saxo..

its all down to personal tast in the end you go for what you think is a better car.

Tbh, I hear this all the time about the being tall and big feet being a problem, but being 6" 3ish and size 13 feet haven't caused any issues with driving my old VTR or XSi.

Although I'm sceptical of that... A VTS with a 4-2-1 and decat system will trounce a Sport.

Aye mine has more or less that setup and was rr'd at 140 bhp. Eats fiesta st's and is fair game with ctr's upto 100. Dam rallye gearbox

As for the pedals they are horrendus for the first 10 mins but now I drive it like any other car I have had without any issues

Ive never had a problem with any of the 8v engines Ive had, HG and oil were never issues, just transmission

Only time I have any trouble with the pedals is if I have my big clumsy work boots on.

1.6 sport. My 1.6 with lexmaul inlet, full exhaust and a viper induction kit used to destroy saxo vtr's in a straight line. I could also keep up with vts's so i'd choose a corsa 1.6 sport anyday over a paxo.

i've owned a corsa and a vtr

i had more trouble with the corsa with sensors deciding to chuck it every week, plus the corsa was rusting to fuck round the b pillar and sills

the saxo had one wishbone replaced in two years and ran like clockwork

You don't need to lie on the internet to impress people young one. My 1.4 Sport with a Mantzel, 4-2-1 and cat back system would JUST pull away from Silvertops. Your little 1.4 would be puffed, all ends up.

Even though I used to think my corsa gsi was fast I now realise it wasnt after owning other cars.

Mine had a map, mantzel 4-2-1 etc and was proven to run125bhp on the rolling road.

Would still only just pull on 1.6 zetec s's and got mullererd by my mates vts
