If your considering 16k VXR's then why not just trade up to a newer M3 - 04/54 plate with 40k miles & SMG for 16k?

Im keeping mine for another 2.5yrs I love it!! Unless a Noble M12 comes up for the right deal

Col that is an option, but its still going to be 4-5years old. Not 1yr old, plus finance appeals at the moment.

Im not sure exactly what its worth. Mines got most of the options bar folding mirrors and bluetooth. All the facelidt bits too.

dont get another m3 for the sake of flappy paddle gearbox, sure its good round town but what are you gaining???

keep the damn m3, give it a year and get a 335i coupe, remap, new intercooler and downpipes and hello 400bhp

335i appeals in the engine department but its not an m chassis tho?! (is it?)

Ive driven my dads Alpina and it handles, but its not as eager and nimble as mine is. Thats the difference in my experience between an M and non M BMW.

M3? Ultimate shit

You like your car and thats very nice for you but personally I wouldn't get rid of an M3 for one and thats all my point was. No offence intended

Jambo I suggested a VXR on the first page and you discounted it... Now you sound like you want one!

Get one bought...my plans are to buy a red or arden blue VXR in September / October if I can get the insurance quotes a bit cheaper - coming out at £900 for me with lots of NCD etc.

Other option is as John said an SRI (150) with XP.
