540 E46? dont think so mate. theres been a few 3 series 4.4 conversions around.. but thats all they are. they arent 'rare'

Sorry i quoted the wrong model number i meant a 540i 6 Speed E39 body style which is rare in this country as there are barely any about, how many people even know about them

My boss has 1.

Wouldnt go as far as to say they were rare tho.

Davie, there's one of them gets driven around my way with a wee hottie usually at the wheel. I think it's a great looking car, reminds me of an overweight R5!

I once tried to talk to her in the petrol station and asked her what the hell it actually was and I was saying how I'd seen it before and I thought it was quality. But I think she thought I was taking the piss because she made it clear that she didn't want to be driving it so it looked like I was being sarcastic. Gutted.

Fastest car i've driven is only a 160bhp XE Corsa, so on that basis the only car that has genuinely shocked me was a Cammed Saxo VTS.

I was shocked at him being by my side at an indicated 143mph, i was on the limiter in 5th and he was still there.

Spoke to the lad afterwards.

Saxo VTS:
Citroen C2 Block
Cams
4-2-1 Manifold
Full System & Decat
Filter
Remap.

Said he was running around 160bhp

My did a bit of rally navigation a few years ago and sat in with a mate in an ex Gwyndaf Evans WRC Escort. Had been re-shelled into a full kevlar shell and de-restricted running over 500bhp but with an astonishing amount of torque. It made me physically sick many times during that rally and I've never been car sick before. Just the sheer forces. It was on par with when I had a back seater in a Harrier.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

One car that shocked me was my mates MK4 Ibiza FR diesel after it was mapped. The jump in power was so impressive with just a map specially with over 300lb-ft of torque.

Also a local lad that used to own a Starlet with over 300bhp was stupid fast. I raced him in the old E corsa and passed him with easy then about a month later we went at it again on the local road and the difference was unreal lol

AXGT

1.4, 100bhp, about 20kg

When pulling away from the lights with 2 friends in my 1.4 16v Corsa, i thought it would be easy pickings...

Oh how wrong I was.... I got left absolutly standing by the bloody thing.

Escort Convertable. Looked shoddy, looked terrible, 3 essex neds listening to hardcore, avin it large... I had my 2.0, easy pickings again... Nope, had my ass handed to me on the A127... Later found it had an RS lump, with typical Essex, "wack up the boost" tuning. Doh...

BMW 325i. Great dabble Thought it would leave me top end (me 2.0). ALLLL the way from Southend to the M25 before cameras came out. Very similar performance up to 100 odd. He'd be quicker between 110-130, but mine took the top speed honours (literally by 2-3 mph), even when he's sat in my slipstream.

Donnas Corsa GSi... Whilst slipstreaming another 1.4 16v in my early days, I pull out for the overtake, timed it perfectly up the M25 hill.... All of a sudden, a white GSi driven by a bird, with my mate laughing at me, literally flies past... Double slipstream effect, just still can't believe how quickly she went past whilst I was flat out.

another car that shocked me was 2 neds trying to outbrake me coming into bluewater, bearing in mind i had V6 n rear disks. Watching them lock up next to me and go straight on into the signpost was very shocking, and extremly comical, for me anyway..

another shock, on my bike, trying to keep up with an original Tommy Kairia Skyline on my Sv650S... Needless to say, my ass was handed to me on a silver platter.

god i've got loads

Only been driving around 6 months so havent got that much experience to talk about but my mates Saxo VTS shocked me. Goes off the clock at 140 whereas im used to my little 1.4 sport.
However, at J27 he was flat out behind this evo5 in 2nd and the evo just took off like a rocket in to the distance.

Dissapointed with the Range Rover Sport. Pushed one up a hill on the a12 and kept going past...later looked at the figures and realised why

you failed to add the epic race through the dart tunnel, m25 and a bit of dartford with a white 1.4 16c corsa

A VTS going off the clock at 140mph? I presume it is supercharged then or something?
