My decision would be over. I'm not usually fussed over BM's, but that is immense.
I want a standard as factory car, by looks that has wheel, suspension, exhaust? bodykit possibly...........its not for me!!
You could have it painted lime green with the other 3k though.

look at it this way..
S2000, Z4M, 330 coupe
S2000's are nice, but I just think they have had their day. (havent they stopped making them). If you like it though, buy it. But i just get the impression you dont really like it and you just want to buy something

Agree with AK really - you've been posting no end about the RS (300bhp turbo) and M3 (much the same) but now you're about to buy a 240bhp N/A which is a completely different drive? Does indeed seem like you're going for something just because you feel you need to.
Whats really wrong with waiting for an RS since that seems to be what you want?

You guys are half right, the S2K isnt exactly what I want. However I think its decent enough & poses good value. Its a just about brand new car for 11/12k less list price.
The RS id need to wait until end of the year...possibly into next year (they cant tell you for deffo!!) and I sort of need to change now so I dont have to spend big on my current car. Its due a service, MOT & Tax within a month or so. I cant wait to change on an RS getting built so looking at other things.

End of the year is 9 months which would mean you're not wasting your money getting servicing etc done now. Might as well wait it out if the RS is really what you want (which it seems it is).
For someone wanting the 'right' car, you seem to be worrying about the money too much (ie. how much discount you're getting) rather than what you're really after.....

exactly - its cheap for a reason..... nobodies paying the price they give you first!!!
Why wait a year.... you wont have to pay full price for an RS till its buitl etc.... so if you really want it get a deposit paid AND buy a new car in the interim. Black Z4M would be my choice if you are scared of 'older cars' - 993's for example

My word, 2k miles on an 07 plate. Mine is in it's 40s now
I think you would just be beter giving yourself x amount of money per anual and spending that on a car.

Yeah I know its a bit dated, there not shifting, discontinued etc etc. Im never going to make up my mind with you lot chirping in my ear
If I done that i'd loose too much, plus the cheeky shits at ford have jacked the price up so im reluctant to pay the asking price. So pretty much the RS is out. I can be bolloxed dealing with Ford.

I do have a budget so yeh do worry about money a bit, its not endless. Ive got a bit stacked away in the bank & am prepared to spend whatever a month on finance. Ive almost accepted I cant get the one I want so looking elsewhere & possibly a bit cheaper to compensate for not getting exactly what I want.
I need to pick a car, soon!!

There are sub 1yr old astra VXRs going for £14k. DONT BUY NEW. You will loose a shitload of cash.
M3 is not "old" they dont fall to peices like vx/ford/renaults as they are made of more than tin and old hats. Plus the technology in them is more advanced so tends not to "age" in the same way (in reference to gadgets and the way the cars/engines perform)
German cars are the future, if you want a nice "cheap" car (if there is such a thing) a VX or ford would be ace. But its simply a different experience/ball park/sport.

Wasnt I replying about someone swapping cars? Thats a bit different.
If theres more factors than just a cash sale or swap it gets tricky.

I was looking to go & view a 04 Phoenix Gold with 45k on it in a main BMW dealer with a years warranty for less than there asking for similar cars a few weeks ago & they were offering 0% finance. It was gone before I could get to it though!!
