just on my gsi now ive spent £7k on just an XE this time around and reckon to get it on the road maybe £11k this time, but in all, maybe £16k or so including buying the car!
and tbh i could easily spend a few more k on a SCCR box, but if it doesnt go well with the XE in, im gona look at evo lump! so potential for another dear engine/Box build!

it's amazing what everyone spends on their cars really, especially since not many people set out to spend what they do, it just kinda escalates lol
but i suppose it's all relative, if you've spent £10k+ then another £2k for a colour change is less scary. lol

I counted up my receipts 3 weeks ago for my nova.
Total came to £7352.67. Thats not including bits i didnt get receipts for etc. And still another £2000 to add onto that for buying the car in the first place. So comes to around £9400 including the car, which i can account for. Probably spent another couple ££££ which i dont have receipts to prove, bits off ebay and forums etc.
It scares me, i will be lucky to make half of that back.
But its worth EVERY penny

Although everyone is saying they have spend £xxx how much have they really spent, cos you usually sell bits at the same time, then use that money to buy more bits

Very true.
I normally dont spend loads unless the parts im replacing can be sold.
Unless its general wear and tear stuff then thats ok.

Yeah obviously wear and tear parts like brakes, clutches, tyres etc cant be sold on when they are knackered, but mods them selves (as the thread is about)
