Ben avoid Racing blue it was a free colour and fades quite badly
Cup packs = front lip and spoiler and 60mm hub spacing oposed to normal ones that have 54mm spacing.
Also came with the anthracite wheels and Micheline Pilot Exalto tyres which are 110 a corner (average) Dont buy a non cup one as they are hard to shift on.
Proper 182 cups dont have the leatheror climate and 172 cups have even less I like my full fat as it has the Xenons, cruise, nice seats and fuel computer etc.
Mine averages about 34-36mpg as I do sit on the motorway but around town is drops to around 30-31mpg
Serving isnt as bad but its just the parts that bump it up a bit. Use a specialist and you'll be fine.
As most people will say they are built poorly which clearly isnt the case, yes cheap plastics and materials are featured but then again you dont buy a car like this to admire the flip out motion of the cup holders tbh.
Mine has been good to me no rattles or engine issues and happy starts every morning and takes me to work and around the whole london circular, in comparison my mums Focus ST170 doesnt start when its below zero In fact I would go as far to say its been the most reliable car I have had
At the end of the day its horses for courses drive one for yourself and see what you think as only you can decide that. Plenty of French haters out there but at the end of the day I would say 99% of them go on hearsay rather than experience. These cars wouldnt be so popular is they were shit let be fair?
If you need a look around one let me know I'm usually free

as proven on hear, people either like small plastic cars that need to be driven at 10/10th to see the benifit, or they like a more relaxed drive., all down to personal opinion

Unless you race CTR's round the track every time you go out in your clio they are crap to drive and live with.

i only need a car to go 5 miles to work and back, and i enjoy driving down the country roads near me at the weekends.
thought the clio would fit the bill perfect?

As jr has said it does depend on your preferences.
It'll be a totally different drive from the ST though, although you can throw them round corners they never make you feel like you're going fast.
Clutch is bad, gearbox is bad, seating position is bad, they're crashy, noisy, built badly, I don't know how it can be argued they're not, not breaking down doesn't make it built well.
It does exactly what it says on the tin though.

Only cup packs have anthracite wheels.
Cup packs are suspension, wheels, spoiler front and rear.
Build quality is exactly what you would expect from a french hot hatch, plenty of features, auto headlights, auto wipers, cruise control. Very rarely hear of any problems with them at all too,.. i've now done 14k and replaced nothing
Also drive a type R and a 182, youll notice the lack of torque and feel in the type R going back to back...
Blue is a awesome colour...
Put it this way - I've had mine 10 months, done 14k and i don't use it for work and its 2 miles to the pub.. Think Fad is similar, uses it for work but also has done about triple the amount of miles he did in his Astra GSi purely cause he enjoys driving it!

Why is the clutch and gearbox bad ? It's no worse than any other car, if you mean heavy get down the gym ... its better to have a bit of feel rather than something light IMO.. Built badly i don't understand either, what is built badly ?

Gearbox just isn't very good, not short and direct like it should be, clutch is heavy but apart from that it just feels terrible, being heavy doesn't make it have feeling, and I don't know what other cars you are comparing it to but the majority of cars i've driven are 10x better, including an old seat toledo that i'm driving atm.
The car just isn't put together very well or built from decent materials, I don't know how else to explain that it's just not.

That must be why i've done 14k in 10 months and not used it for anything other than driving pleasure.

Yeah on AST coilovers about 65mm
Those pictures dont show the height to well.. If you love driving, you will love it.
I changed from a 220bhp turbo car, and at the start you miss the torque, but once you learn to drive NA again its awesome

I'm not sure what's going on with the cupra but the rest aren't renowned for their engineering and build quality.

Sorry, i'm not quite sure what i'm reading
306 rallye, renound as the best Hot hatch of it's time, but it was poorly engineered then ?
Oh and BTW, cupra had dash part falling off, cup holder felt tacky, material around the window switch was pealing. It broke every week, and had only done 50k.

Get a Jetta if you like fuel consumption
Don't be so gay. If you want something fast but want to have money for a deposit, why not sell the ST and get a VXR or something? Not sure how much ST's go for mind you
