tbh, i think it looks like chip had the most fun. id rather have fun in a car like that nova than take it all too seriously.
But there are people there with serious cars which cost them £££'s. Imagine being taken out by someone having fun in a Nova? Just need to show a bit of consideration really.
works the other way , Ive generally seen much more expensive cars beeing driven far far worse on alot of uk tracks
for example the pug and s3 which knowone has mentioned yet did worse things

If you'd spent £100k on an Escort Cosworth for arguments sake,
It's your own fault if you take it to an open track day and get it stacked by some fud in a nova,
People who spend serious money on track cars know how the track days go.

which is the risk of trackdays
i have no idea what people like martin hadland do (the only escort which you could argue might be near 100k if you had it built ) but i have no idea if he has track insurance

Indeed people really are commenting without actually engaging their brain at all.
would LOVE for someone to point out to me where I risked damaging anyone elses car!

serious question this time, not really a danger to other peoples cars but wasnt it a tad dangerous/scary getting out to start your car up from the rear window??!

What if your new Mk4 suspension failed and fell out all over the place and people crashed into it?
Apologies, I should have said "anymore than anyone else on track was doing so just by being there in a car which by definition can go wrong"
I thought I had made my post idiot proof, but obviously I had failed at that, LOL

Na, Chip has control of the situation there you can see it from the skid marks and the turf flying everywhere.

Yes both my good friends in the red and black evo's were braking.
They are great drivers, in very capable cars, and were a safe distance behind me to evade, so how am I risking them in some way?
Si in the black evo did laugh a lot he said to me when I was round his place last night, so maybe I risked him crashing through laughing on the hair pin after?
LOL
These people are friends of mine, and had no problem, so god knows why some kiddies on a corsa forum do, lol

I do indeed have perfect control of the situation in terms of there being no innocent bystanders to hit in the first place.
Who do you think Im risking hurting in that pic then mate?

Sticky solenoid on the starter.
About the only secondhand part on my 15K or so engine build, that'll teach me to cut corners building engines, lol
