Cant take pictures that often unless for a job, need a permit and permission for control room to use a camera. Incase of setting off heat detectors with the flash, or causing an explosion if there is a gas release due to having electrical equipment on the plant

Still doing it, and so is every other platform

cold flarin (unlit flare) is more harmful to the environment than burning it

They still flare, just not to the extent they did before, most process gas is now either used on the rig or sent to shore.

Michael Campbell, unsure if you know him? The production supervisor from my rigs son is in the same year aswell, second name is Thomson

Im mechanical

Alot of people do the 8 week POH1 course now ( operator course) before they go offshore now. Another of my mates was the same year as me, spent 18 months doing electrical then at the end did the 8 week course and now with opito as an operator

Yeah I know him, currently serving a driving ban for under taking an unmarked police car while speeding or something? Other one will be Ross Thompson. Dont see much of either of them to be honest as im in a different training group, so never really with them day to day.

POH1 - Process of Hydrocarbons 1 - Aye?Ive got someone from last years folder in the house that left & didnt return for it.

Im not too bothered if im asked to stay on for that, shouldnt be too bad. Im currently revising for my final exam on 15th January - fun xmas holidays this is gonna be!!

And he crashed his car the following week

Some folk werent happy, after coutning down 18 months to get onto some real money and a real job then they get told theyve to do another 2 months on college pay and staying in the same digs

Im lucky I didnt have a final exam

Thought they wouldve put you to Petrofac Training for your BOSIET, seeing as its at Altens and saves you going through Aberdeen to get to Dyce
