neo, doesn't it "tend" to be cubic capacity/forced induction/dirty diesels that determine the torque figure? my N/A 1.8 produces not much different to another N/A 1.8 from another manufacturer.

pound for pound its a better engine than most

Bloke not far from me has 550+ BHP Type R and its only low 300lbs/ft
