Just read the thread. I know people are saying personal problems have no place on the internet, but without actually quoting Robin's post, it's like hypothetically posting a message that your brother passed away on the weekend - and then Mobby coming into the topic saying "Boo hoo, people die all the time. My brother passed away before yours"
That's basically the attitude that got him banned.

I disagree, i don't like the guy, but if he posted that exact thread or something similar i would offer advice, it's a serious thread which needed a serious reply

TBH mate, without you gettin your knickers in a twist with me. You give out just as much stupid shit as he does. Get off your horse and get off the mobby bashing bandwagon
Same with Robin. He gives out shit, but noooooo he wants that thread to be serious....Ok robin, we'll do as you say
90% of your problems are trivial BTW. Man up. Mobby was right, even if he didn't say it in the right kind of way. There's a lot of people a lot worse of than you, and your list of problems are basically what everyone goes through at one point or another, but hey! That's life.
One rule for one and not for the fucking other.

What are you on about friends with admin privileges? Me and Will don't see eye to some of the time, I don't really talk to Matt, there's no point in asking Tim for anything, he's always busy, I annoyed Ian a while back to the point where he threatened to ban me. The only person out of the admin team I would say I get on with is James. I didn't ask for Mobby to be banned, I think it's harsh that he has been, because he obviously just couldn't express his problem very well (I've been there, getting angry at people with minor issues for no reason, hence why I don't think he should be banned)
The reason I made the thread was because there were a lot of things I felt I personally needed to get off my chest. earlier in the week, I'd been to see a psychotherapist, who advised me to share my issues, which I have.
I didn't ask for people to defend me, Mobby to be banned, or whatever, just wanted to tell it how it was and get it off my chest, that's all.
I know I'm not in the worst position in the world, I have a roof over my head, I don't have many bills to pay and the ones I do I've brought on myself, but I suffer from depression (not "oooh, I feel a bit down today, I'm depressed", actual depression) so everything build up and builds up if I don't talk about it, then I fall apart and end up fucking myself in the arse work wise and wasting my life. The problems may well be trivial on their own, but collectively, they fuck me up.
Think what you want, but don't make assumptions wrongly.

Brett, i would say mobby's insensitive posts where merely just the icing on the cake that got him banned.
He gets a hard time because he doesnt seem to be able to act in a way that doesnt cause friction with other members.
He has a massive chip on his shoulder, it shows.
Plus when people talk about manning up, i would suggest you "read up" on psycological conditions and how they affect people.
I would also like to remind people that money doesnt make you happy, therefore it is possible for people who arent skint to be unhappy.
If Mobby was nicer to people, he wouldnt be in the situation hes in now IMO. Simple as that.

OK Cause I wouldn't know anything about them would I
Mobby is provoked 8 times out of 10.
Fuck this, I CBA with a CS against Mobby/Brett scenario now.
I just think it was undeserved. End of.

I know, but I'm guessing that you know some one on anti-depressants so you think that qualifies you on the subject. It doesn't.
Couple of definitions for "man up"...
quote:
Man up
To work through impediments and obstacles without whining.
Man up
Be strong
My comment still stands. Everyone's advice "go out and do this", "go and eat that", "go to the gym", etc. Is that no manning up? I think it is.
I have problems. Everyone has downers. Some of us choose to get on with it and fight through it and others give up instantly and go to the doctors and get slapped on anti-depressants.
It's a lot easier to say "oh, i'm depressed" than it is to actually go out and right the wrongs in your life.
People saying "i'm depressed" to me, is like thick lazy people saying they're dyslexic.

I agree with the dyslexia part, it's a get out clause for unwillingness to learn.

I totally agree. However, I have been diagnosed with depression, I've just just woken up one day and though "I'm depressed"

There will be someone who skips through the thread, and just reads that, and not my actual post, and thinks I'm a right badger.
