It doesn't do sideways (although it did yesterday and I nearly spun on a roundabout near Luton) needs an LSD, most of the time is just spins one wheel.

Power is now 196bhp from 163, torque is up from 250 to 303 lb/ft. Erm, and I get 5mpg more now

yeah, obviously not if you hoon around everwhere, but at a steady speed, it uses less fuels.

The thing is, I'm not looking to get silly power out of it, I want some smooth, useable power (has ~145 at the moment, 165 would be enough) plus some gain in economy...

yeah, we can do it to suit tbh, I had 3 choices, power, economy or a bit of both. I went for the latter and it's still loads better low down.
