They look fine just to run about on until you can get it done properly.

Hmm i think red rim tape would look better tho. Just my opinion tho. Wonder if anyone has painted wheels to match their car (in red)

I know its not the best job in the world but the main thing is that at least you tried and cant fail on that My new wheels have a red lip and the cesaro's will look mint with a red lip

Never use brake cleaner, as it leaves a thin greasey film on the surface.

Most likely tbh, aways use a proper degrease like white sprit or something.
Do you use tyre gel/shine? If so that wont be helping.
When doing a refurb, sand them down and fill where needed, then clean them with the degreaser, then primer 3 good coats will do it, then flat the primer and re clean then paint. No need to primer sand primer.

They look ok dude.
I did mine on ym ZS, (see my avatar < .
400 grit wet and dry, sand them down roughly just to get most of the wheel keyed. Halfords grey primer nice coat, leave to dry or heat gun them. Then get the black halfords spray and heat the wheel again. Keep everything nicw and warm. Nice coat of black. And they came out awesome!

Just go to a sign writers AK and ask for a 10mm ring in whatever size the wheel is, or whatever size you want the width of the ring to be.

that bbs is stunning, and its very hard to do it with a 10mm rim danny, you need to do it in quarters, as thats the way we do it on the motor bikes
