Had some time off this week so fitted a couple of bits and took the car on its first track outing. Now its getting a bit of pampering etc.
Firstly I fitted my new ferodo DS2500 pads and got some new fluid in the brakes in preperation for my trackday at brands hatch.

Must say I am very impressed with these pads. I did an open pitlane day from 9am to 5pm and didnt get them to fade once Had alot of smoke coming off of them at one point though
Downside is my calipers arnt red anymore as I think they got a bit hot

Couple of snaps from the day

Had a wicked day and was well worth it. Learnt a hell of a lot about how the car drives and what it is capable of too
Downside is that my front tyres look like this

and my rears like this

So I spent today swapping the fronts to the back and visa versa. so I can get a bit more life from them. The fronts had hard wear on the shoulders and the rears had even wear accross the top with just a few scuffs/melted bits on the surface.
So had a brief euro moment

Took a while as the spacesaver only fits on the rear so I had to get creative with swapping wheels
While I had the wheels off I took the time too clean out the arches and fully clean the wheels of all of their brake dust and grime. Then gave them a coat of wax and tyre shine
Before:

Wash

Then after drying

Back on the car

Repeat x4

While I had the wheels off I fitted my new sidelights and dipped bulbs(annoyingly fiddly job that can only be done with the car on jacks). Just went for some osram nightbrakers to keep it legal with better preformance and nice white light
New bulbs in give the lights a nice clear/blue tinge, although you cant really see it much in these pics

They look a yellow in day light but are really nice at night without been a chavvy blue style

Then much to somes dissapointment it was time to loose the vtec yo light

After digging around behind the dash I found the origional wiring loom which was handy

Also found these so got rid of them

Clip clunk

and after a bit of fileing and sanding in it went all set for my satnav for nurburgring

Now just need to give the body work the full clay and polish as well as clean out the interior. Will get more pics when thats done

Excellent days work Gavin
Fancy paying my wheels that much attention Look spankingly clean!
Not too keen on the spacesaver only fitting the rear, what a pullava if you get a puncture on the front

Yer tbh now I know that if I get one on the front I will call the aa
As jacking the car up twice with the pony honda jack will take hours
Spacesaver just doesnt clear the calipers. Although I dont think you are suposed to use them on the front anyway are you???
I gave the wheels lots of attention hoping that the wax will make it easier to keep the brake dust off of them. As the new pads arnt half dusty fuckers
Also how much are sub controlers and cross overs worth? anything?

Don't blame you mate that's crazy! And no i don't think you are suppose to which could explain why it won't clear
Let me know if it does help, as I've been wondering if wax would make them easier to clean off the brake dust etc
Don't have a clue about sub controllers etc

Half and half
Previous owner obviously took all their ice with them. Or as much as they could be bothered with anyway
Ben I think the tread pattern changes as they get bigger. So with yours been wider you get the different tread

They are different tyres, they make the Ultrac Sessanta and the Ultrac (along with others), both good tyres.

Looking good mate
I changed the sidelights in mine last week, what a fuck about that is although I didn't need to jack mine up.
Waxing the wheels is an arse but makes cleaning them so much easier in future.
