Completely unfair IMO.
How is closing the gap unfair?
It's motorsport FFS, not a multi storey car park.
How can shoving him to the point where if he doesn't come off he'll cause both of them to possibly crash out, count as closing the gap?

Hamilton should have backed off more than he did to ensure he didn't gain any advantage.

The way I see it is (and Im no pro-Lewis!) is he had no choice but to cut the corner when he was forced across the track - either that or they hit each other.
Once that happened it was fairly obvious Lewis let him back past as he had so much more pace at that moment in time. And then only took him on the next corner.
IMO it was a harsh penalty, and another sign of the pro-Ferrari decision making.

Kimi had the racing line/lead so he can do what he likes. Its up to Ham to get out the way.
Ive just watched it a few times on the ITV site and Ham had a mutch better line with his short cut.
read James Allens bit as he said Ham would have taken Kimi on the next corner or even up the hill he just had to give full advantage back to Kimi

This video proves Hamilton has just been made a scapegoat and that was much much worse than Hamiltons scenario

Also by Nakajima(I think) followed him all the way and into trullis gear box.
Recognition has to go to those teams that switched to inters with 1/2 laps to go something the top two teams seem to shy away from this season.

The top teams have built up such a lead that it doesn't matter, I wouldn't say they've shyed away from it, they didn't need to do it this time

Bourdais lost out on the last lap, was 3rd, finished 7th i think

I think Kimi would disagree with that now. It was a case of near impossible driving they should have pitted

Harsh penalty considering what Ferrari usually get. I don't think it was deserved. The incident didn't effect the race result as Kimi crashed anyway!
And Kimi did a similar thing later on in the lap at Pouhon when they both went off. He stayed on the run off longer which resulted in a speed advantage.

I think he baltently was in the wrong and deserved a punishment. If that area by the chicane was gravel for instance then he wouldn't of overtaken kimi like he did.

You can't be Kimi, cos if you were a true F1 fan you'd know the next race is the weekend coming up, and i'd rather support the back markers as I feel people with Ferrari's, Merc's, and any other supercar are compensating for something they don't have.

The same thing happened a few corners before it and he went across the grass

James Allen knows about as much about the sport as my 55 year old mother! Just spouts shit and useless, and usually incorrect, facts, generally showing him up as a useless twat on TV.
Hopefully someone at the BBC won't be a complete penis and ask him to jump ship and join the beebs commentary team.
