Colins going away to work on the rigs, I can just about cope with the thought of that. But it would be a whole different ball game if he was going away to Uni.

This is going to sound like I'm contradicting myself here, because even tho I trust him with my life, the thought of him being away at Uni and living the 'student life' without me would deffo take its toll on our relationship.

Does that make any sense?

Makes sense to me

I was the same, my girlfriend was going to go to sheffield uni, which would have been shit. I trust her 100%, its just other people i dont trust, especialiy with the uni lifestyle going out getting pissed all the time

thought the rigs were 2 weeks on 2 off?

the drifitng apart would be the worse, out of sight out of mind so to speak, longest time me and my ex went without seeing each other was about 2 days, and we were together 16 months and i was only 16 when i met her

I'll still miss him like mad the 2 weeks he's away tho The point I was making was if he was to go away to Uni I personally wouldn't cope with that
