Yeah, but they mean it's FWD but it'll feel like 4WD. We'll soon see if it's true or not. Could be good, could be useless, who knows.

As long as it doesn't just torque steer everywhere then it shouldn't be that bad imo. This is the part where I get called thick

What da fuck? That makes no sence. Its either 4WD or FWD. Theres no in-betweens or any similarity because of the diff

With clever setup on the diff and anti roll bars you can get the car to oversteer in a fasion that is suitable for a production car. Though it will be setup to understeer as Ford will have to worry about lawsuits and such. VW said something similar about the most recent Golf GTi I believe.

It could be true. It's easy to make a FWD car FEEL like a 4wd handling wise. Grip wise no, but handling wise, the way the car behaves in a bend, yes.

yeah, so you know how your car handles like a FWD car shouldn't then, and you can make it 4 wheel drift when you lift off?

the diff in the RS is (alledgedly) electonically controlled, it WILL handle like it's not FWD, it won't behave anything like a FWD car you've ever driven.

Oh, I agree, but I think it would have been priced well out of the market it's aimed at if it was FWD.

I dunno, I'm going to reserve judgment until I get to drive one. The ST225 seems to cope with 280bhp without a decent diff, so I think the RS will be a cracker in all honesty.

Most standard RS models are overrated anyway, the legend is more impressive than the cars IMO.

Seriously.

Standard Sierra/Sapphire/Escort RS Cosworths are poo, standard Escort/Fiesta RS Turbos are poo, the RSs which shouldn't have even been called RSs are poo.

In road trim, most RSs aren't up to much, RS200 excluded.

Noooooooooooo Robbo...

A nice orange(lol) say 06 plate ST for about 14K then about 4K modding it will still only be 18K so if the RS is going to be 26K then i've saved 8K??

I'll try and live without the diff
