Facelift look much better.
Elegance is pretty poverty spec tbh, comparable, I guess, with GLS of Corsa B.
Elegance isn't the pre-facelift equivalent of Exclusiv
elagance is no were near poverty spec, it was top spec deano
gls would be compared with a gls corsa c aswell

i picked this up v cheap(5 door maybe?!?!)
but its a 1.8sri and it is loverly. its is quick(went from a 1.8t passat) and wouldnt say it felt any slower, engine sounds loverly too after about 3.5k! altho it does lack a little torque top end.

so i would say
that a 1.4 would be a decent option if u didnt want something rapid, but something a little more than a 1.2 sxi!! id 100% go for an sri, late pre or facelift so u get the decent wheels, mirrors, spoiler etc etc just upto u whether u want a 1.8 or whther u can settle for the 1.4!
i just paid £210 tax for a year and get about 80miles to a tenner(seems too good tbh!!)
what style of driving do you mainly do mate?is it urban or motorway?
