Funnily enough, You do get alright traffics.
I got caught doing 96 on the motorway and he said it was a nice car and he didnt want to have to pick my bodyparts up off the road, Then told me my car was gay

He just laughed at that, explained to us he hates BMW drivers and let us go even though we were doing 90 in a 70

he might not have seen the police car? would've been in warp factor 5 at this point so his vision will have been rather blurry.

we got away once with 11 people in a punto.
the police van put o its brakes and turned round so we dropped it a gear, took a right turn at a t-junction then turned left into a carpark straight away and hid behind some fir trees!

hmmm, my point was even if you dont get caught then, they often catch up with you. Also a lot of road pursuits end up with the copter, and then a police dog on your trail....

If your tanking it down the motorway and you manage to spot the polce but keep going , your not running, Your just carrying on as you were.
On the other hand, if they are behind you with the full bhoona on and you keep going and try to out run them in your 1960 Cadillac the only place you'll be seeing is a state side court room.

if you're already maxed out on the clocks (speed) you have nothing to lose really... but it's a different story if it was a already moving unmarked police car, or something silly like a lambo police car.
Only if the car is stationary and i'm already shifting at max speed.
140 mph = 2.3 miles per minute...
Probably take the copper 20 secs to put his camera down and pull out... = already gone 1 mile away...
then if it takes the copper another 15-20 secs to hit 100 mph, i've once again pulled another mile...
say it takes him a further minute or whatever to get to 140 - that's another 1/2 - 1 mile
so i'm now 3 miles ahead... travelling at 140... now this is assuming the copper is at 140 mph as like the copper in that traffic cops, he wasn't really shifting considering the car he was gonna catch 'WAS doing 125' - he looked like he was only doing about 110-120 mph to catch up and it was only because the lupo slowed down he caught him...
@ 140 it won't catch you at all if you're doing 140... less you'll keep pulling away.
If they do go faster than 140... even if they're doing 155 mph (evo top speed)
it'll take them 12 mins to catch you back up (assuming you're 3 miles ahead) - if you're further than 3 miles longer.
in 12 mins @ 140 you cover 28 miles! plenty to get to the next junction and pull off and just ditch the car.
But you'd be fucked if
A ) they get your plate and photo you driving
B ) they get the police chopper dispatched v.quick over head
C ) they phone ahead and get police units to set up a road block off the next junction
D ) you drive a french hatch and the car breaks down before you get to the next junction
E ) up traffic and can't maintain your speed.
If you do make it successfully to ditch the car in some cul de sac or something, remember to leave the car unlocked! (as a theif wouldn't lock the car after).
You may get lucky now and someone may steal the car for real

E) cop holding the cam is the passenger, they see you approaching quite fast and the driver is already pulling away

do you watch a lot of copper programs on tv or something? They only show the ones they catch the people
They won't show the crap ones where they get away. (well not unless they catch them later in the program)
chopper takes a while to be dispatched, so if it's the scenerio we're talking about here they won't get it dispatched in time...
Just ditch the car, leave it unlocked, walk home, claim you've mislayed your keys. Phone police and say your car has been nicked.

I know someone who got in a police chase, got chased around for a while, loads of cars chasing them... they finally lost the cops, dumped the car, legged it and then hid under a parked car. Got their mate to come pick them up, went home and said it had been stolen and then got the police reply 'Ah ok, well it's been recovered, we'll bring it to you now'

Thats like a guy round here
was being chased by 3 of those smallish fiat diesel vans - only like 80bhp tops, and he was in an old CRX.
Got away easy peasy. Parked it in an alley with the keys in the ignition, ran up the road, saw the police go past and phoned in saying something like.
"Ive just seen my fucking car being chased by 3 vans go past me in town! Someones stolen my bastard car!"

A guy in Glasgow got caught going through a red light, Saw the Police far back and decided to give it some. he got ahead a bit, parked in a small street, got out, Jumped in the boot and started crying and said he was car jacked.
