0-60 is usually pretty accurate too, normally within .3 or .4 of a second

LMAO. So if you want the real answer (UK TONNE) you must x0.9842 every time.

I'm sure that you should be able to re-do that.

So given that formula and what it says my car will do 0-60. Do you think that it'll do a 0-60 in 7.28sec give or take.

But there is one very big difference that will always hinder the Corsa's 0-60 time.

It can't do 60 in 2nd gear. Therefore you must change into 3rd which will lose you time. Thats why the book figures are always 1sec or so faster.

Well i thought gear ratio's would come into 0-60?

Like certain cars need to be in 3rd for 60 where as some can manage it in 2nd?

you happy now? after all that.. you need to take a brake mate tbh arguing over something like this.. what i want to know is why doesnt the formula take into consideration the loss of power through friction due to the condition and size of the tyres... probably because no one really cares!?

its there to give a rough idea, which it does nicely..

You WONT be faster than a 106 GTi to 60mph. as said, steves is the same speed as mine was, and when I used to race GTi's/VTS's it used to be neck and neck to 80mph odd then id' pull about half a car to 110mph odd.

And your weight seems abit opptomistic Steve. mine weighed in at 910kg and all I had that you didn't is A/C, which I later removed. So I think it weighed about 890kg. So it had the same as you; PAS, EW etc etc, and you've got a sunroof so I dont see how it's 50kg's lighter than mine just becasue you've removed 1/3 of your dash.
