 did you get the lead for the ibiza that has the yellow block that goes into the stereo and then converts to RCA's and remote out? Need to get me the in dash 6 disc changer too they swapped it for a single

Yup got that lead for the ibiza, used it again in the clio. A bit of the Ibiza still lives on 
Oh, btw, spoke to my Uncles best mate who is a lawer dealing with car accidents and personal injury, says that I have full grounds for sueing Norwich Union for writing off a Car that inst written off.

My theory is the guy that owned it took bits off it to either sell or put on another golf or the scrappy took bits  got splitter back on and headlights coming just need wheels and 6disc changer and the first aid kit for the boot
