This is getting out of hand. I only intended to do the bare minimum to this thing and now i have smoked Depos arriving soon and a leather gaiter set to match the cally leather and some nice new wiper arms to replace the badly rusted ones. thinking about stereo gear for it now.
These cheap "i'm not going to spend any money it" projects always to seem to spiral.

Wiper arms arrived today. I was going to get hold of some second hand ones on ebay but they were always finishing very close in price to brand new ones on buy iy now. Why do bidders always get so carried away?
Anyway, old and busted ones.

Thats better

eBay, £14 for the pair.
Started taking the interior apart today, Yuck! absolutely minging under the seats etc Found over £2 though. More to come. So that makes the cost of the van £245.
Did the heat trick thing yesterday to the plastics. Nice and black before my eyes. I was going to buy new stuff as well.

Well in between keeping the other half happy this weekend, i have been doing little jobs whenever i get time.
First though some comparison pics of the old and new roof.

Nice shiney new one

Before doing the heat trick on the arches

After, amazed by this, the way they go black before your eyes!

Worked on the rear bumper and the scuttle as well.

After much struggling as i am still one handed after my broken wrist, with little space to get to the seats as it's a van, i managed to get this out.

To reveal much yukkiness!

Few minutes later

Bit stuck now as i want to get the other seat out but can't as i ned to drive it for the respray and the carpet that i got off here has not arrived yet!
I don't want to put the Cally leather in untill the carpet has arrived. Not point taking it apart twice!

Going better than that. Just used my £10 ebay voucher and ordered a new wing. The old one has some surface rust and a dent when i looked closely. New one cost me less than £20. Van has now gone to the garage to be sprayed. I will go there this weekend and strip it down to save on costs.

Cheers mate!
When it has all the equipment and 400kgs of water in the back it will be pretty low anyway.
As for lowering it normally, i don't know at the moment. As the garage said if they lower it could be on the bumpstops when loaded up!

Yeah sod it! I'll just fill it up for water at PV. I'm sure people could use the water to wash their cars. Actually not a bad idea that. Bring the generator, pressure washer etc and then corsasport members can wash their cars at the campsite.
