We don't all hang out in local scum hole clubs though full of beer boys.
Dave, i have a friend who wears exact same stuff as you. I can't help but laugh at his trainer/plimsole things.

you, shoes, dark jeans + a shirt, sounds like what we all wore when we weren't old enough to get in anywhere apart from the local scummy club which would let anyone in.

but IMO the worst chav clubs will only let you in with shoes on to keep the scunners who can not afford shoes out. i have seen this in both sheffield, darlington, newcastled, boro (places i mainly go)

the better places allow you to wear smart casual clothes. I dont want to go to an all nighter at Gatecrasher in shoes FFS, I have alwys wore trainers, jeans, smart t-shirt as its more comfy

plus student nights are dead relaxed as most go out in whatever they have worn all day

Dave17 is a proper pretty we know this, I wouldn't wear plimsoles like that but fair play I wouldn;t take the piss out of other people wanting to.

I would wear shoes to the pub but only if I was off out-out later on.

My current trainers for being semi smart in are from next and are velcro shoe-trainer hybrid stylish

Not overly smart infact a bit worn looking brown slip-ons with jeans and a grey fitted style jumper (looks like a school jumper ) is where it's at.

Trainers dont go with my style of dress, cant wear a nice All Saints jumper/cardigan with slim fit jeans and then some big clobby trainers with logos and random colours on.

How the hell do you get your Cons that dirty? Frequent trips through building sites?

Doesnt take much for them to get dirty really. My pymsoles were clean, then i wore them to Brands Hatch yesterday, and they got covered in dust

Joe - I agree, if i am going to the gym, or running il get some trainers. If im playing football il wear boots/astros. If im going out and its casual, i will wear those, simple.

Yes Carl - Trainers get battered on nights out, wet dirty floors, people trampling on ur feet, and then drunken falling over etc.

I only really have my old black hi top converse and my dunlops, I buy a pair of shoes, wear them to fuck and buy a new pair when I really need them. They get dirty and to hell with it I like the dirty look
