Just so you know my pic is only a sarcastic giggle at the team America film and how they depict WMD's As far as the discussion is concerned, i'm fed up of hearing about conspiracy theories. For everything one person says, there's always a 'what about Bush' etc. comment. I'd much rather turn the news off and live a peaceful ignorant life When you're on holiday how do you feel.... Relaxed... why because you don't have to hear about shootings, problems in the middle East etc. It's the news' fault, it's a conspiracy i tell ya

why is it ignorance to have a differnet opinion to you??
You feel strongly about your argument as do the topshot and the others!!
i think its ignorance to think you are 100% correct and those that differ from this have a lack of education??

If true colours is the new hip word for lack of education then yes there have been a lot of true colours being shown.

United Colors of Benetton
lack of education and add ignorance with it
why because people dont agree with you
The majority of wars currently happening are due to Islam, The cowardly bombings of civilians is down to Islam.
I didnt see many iraqis complain when they tore down the statue of S.Hussein did you
They are using it as an excuse for terrorism, not to mention they are fighting each other FFS because of their religion

I used to read a lot into this kind of stuff in the media etc. But i realised at the end of the day just how wound up and angry it can make you. At the end of the day i choose to follow only skysports news instead The media is a very powerful tool indeed, every piece of media we receive is mediated somewhat, so we never get the true picture of any situation, only what the media want us to see. I tend to read not too much into it now because you'll only be given a biased view.

no ignorance is when you can't see the logic. And also ignorant when you just direct your attacks personally and not in the debate

True.
The thing with something like this everyone feels so strongly about their side of the argument that they only read and believe the bits of news they want to.
They cant be swayed becasue it is too strong of divide.
Those who are against iraq have theories fro everything against bush, he did this and that and america caused everything.
And those for can pick from a million stories and photos of people from the middle east with signs like the guy at the start if this post and things like 9/11.
This argument will never be settled.
Bit like Fifa or Pro evo

a very valid point regarding media filtering... Indeed many people just listen to what is said to them on the news and think this is the truth. Just like when teh PM showed a report about WMD in Westminster while it was actually a coursewrk of a university student..>Why he did that? to convince the MPS that UK had to go to war.
Same for the US who manipulated CIA reports in front of the UN to go to war. While the UN inspectors were categorical that there were NO WMD in Iraq...

Saying a comment like that is not right clearly but its becasue it is such a passionate subject for so many. People make such comments in the heat of the moment.
But thenmany would see your arguments as being idealistic and saying that if we didnt go into iraq the world would be a peacful one??
im sure the kurds would certainly disagree.
I dont want to argue with this as i have said i think it is something not worth trying to get involved in this as the views are too strong and easily debated.
Just disagree with calling people ignorant for their own personal views on points like this.

However, is it acceptable to follow the opinion of the man in the photo? What have those sailors with friends and families done to be killed
He's as ignorant as some of the views on here tbh. I think the biggest gripe people have is why is it acceptable for one side to say death to the WEST, but not the other way around if you know what i mean (because i don't :lol

in the heat of moment Now you look for some justification
My arguments are not idealistic...When did I say that if they didn't go to Iraq, there would have been World Peace? The Kurds were killed with weapons provided by the US themselves...
There would be no war between countries and no terrorists attacks...Civil war is a different issue. Instead of going to war, work on your own streets to stop crimes being comitted within your land instead of faking it that you are making peace in other countries.
And how much money is being wasted in a war for nothing?

So because the US provided SOME of the weapons it makes it ok?
No terrorism if we had not have entered iraq you clearly are blind yourself
They would have seeked other sensitive areas such as Israel, turkey etc etc

As i have said above i am not guna waste my time arguing this with someone who has there own views and will not be swayed. there is no point.
But how can you believe there would be no wars between countries.
Look back through history, there will always be war, as soon as a reason disappears another arises. Individuals cause wars with there strong views and belief that their view is the only correct one.
im guna go and have an argument about PS3 and Xbox360 instead in geek day

topshot, your post has a lot of offence and hatred
I'm offended by one of your posts
To the topic, the guy asking for the 'agressors' to be executed is mental
But what is the reaction of most of you in this post: BOMB them........so you think the same as this guy? Your thoughts are same? You would have asked for same if some other country's sailors were in the British waters.........
And in the middle east, the main cause of unrest is Israel. The world can see this except for some blind ones.
As jay kay stated, any country would have acted the same if they caught sailors in their waters and the conclusion would be spying.
That's the price you pay when you support America. Now even the UN won't give enough support to the UK. Hope the UK learns its lesson this time and stop supporting the US in their 'evil' actions (as Hammer stated). It's all down to the US, get out of countries not their own and there will be world peace.
All terror attacks have always had this as justification: 'we need to wage war on America'........... ALWAYS
Countries who support America will have the same fate.
BUT I do not agree with the hostage taking

maybe abdus you should re read what you are saying
