what
Canary Islands is different to Ibiza, I biza is purely an island off spain that belongs to spain.
Sure Canary Islands is like a colony of spain same as all the colonies of england after we explored and decided to keep them as our own

It's down to historic events. Just because a piece of land is an island doesn't automatically make it a country. It's dependat on which country owns that piece of land. Scotland is it's own country and is part of the United Kingdom of Great Britain. Ibiza is an island which belongs to Spain. It doesn't have it's own parlement e.t.c...

I think the UK can be considered the exception in almost every instance though... we shouldn't have seperate parliaments and lawas and sports teams etc... our governments just can't accept that we should be 4 different countries :S

So Ibiza and The Canary's are both Spanish Territory meaning they have the same designation?

Again, Isel of Man operates as its own country... own laws etc. but due to historic ways it remains part of the UK (it should really be brought in line with the rest of England IMO)

Probably... I truly believe that we should all either be brought under the same rules etc. or split... personally I say split as we act like sperate countires and sport just pushes that further and further apart so why not take the final step but I understand its noit as easy as that ie. utility industries in particular etc.

The way everything is going at the moment is a bit silly. Scotland get thier own goverment. They build a building and they fuck that up even more so than if England were doing it. My view is that things need to seriously change in all the countrys for them to be able to run successfully independantly. England could probably do alright on thier own, but I have serious doubts over the others.
