Say we have 20-25 mph winds cominf from behind

Based on how fast said belt is going, they could cancel each other out and the plane would lift off

what the hell a tailwind will do fuck all for an aircraft taking off. a headwind will produce far better lift.

I can't believe there was even a debate on if the plane would take off. I can't believe people are still debating it actually. It actually makes me angry.

no i mean actual speed the plane is moving as it needs a certain speed to get the lift

ie if a plane needs to travel at 100mph to lift off but they conveyour belt is moving 50mph in the opposite diredction the plane would need to travel at 150mph to get the lift

I think someone who works in a supermarket should recreate this on the shopping conveyor belt and a model aeroplane.
