oh, and to be honest, most of us would agree with you about morris dancers being wierd.

I fully agree, it isn't normal.

I also fail to see why we need a national instrument or 'dress'....

Your national anthem is probably punjabi mcs and your national dress is probably a viel and your national food is for a fact curry, unlucky

Every nation needs a culture, otherwise it is not a nation in the 1st place it's just a group of random people with nothing in common, oh wait thats England

*yawn* I'm happy if your so proud to be a part of Scotland but your willingness to slag of England at every opportunity is tiresome.

i agree that neighbours like scotland and england shouldnt slag each other of constantly it in my eyes is pathetic, but its bound to happen if lately there is a new thread started for the 1 purpose of slaging of scotland and our history, do you expect the scots to take a slaging and not give some back?

i try to take a back seat and not make comments that will be offensive to others but i will defend what has been said against scotland

cant there just be a rule about not slagging each others nation off as it surely cant do the club any good

i think you should go and do a bit of research on the history of a kilt before you make comments like that

The Breacan an Fhéilidh or Féileadh Mòr was originally a length of thick woollen cloth made up from two loom widths sewn together to give a total width of 1.5 m, up to 5 m in length. The great kilt, also known as the belted plaid, was an untailored draped garment made of the cloth gathered up into pleats by hand and secured by a wide belt. The upper half could be worn as a cloak draped over the left shoulder, hung down over the belt and gathered up at the front, or brought up over the shoulders or head for protection against weather. It was worn over a léine (a full sleeved garment gathered along the arm length and stopping below the waist) and could also serve as a camping blanket.

ignorance is bliss eh

And i don't willingly slag off anyone, our national dish is haggis and our national dress is a length of fabric because we are historically a poor nation that had to survive hardships, i don't think its a crime to be proud of that tbh.
