Rolex will only let you have rolex to sell if you sell them at the price rolex say.
If you don't live up to all the criteria they set they just don't give you any watches.
Shops must know rolex as a brand brings people in so they have no choice.
Rolex even admit it.
Rolex don't just sell watches, they sell luxury.
Panerais go from a couple of grand up.
Unless I win the lottery anytime soon I doubt I will be getting a 12k one.
Thats how brands like Rolex maintaint heir brand and value

I know exactly how the rolex brand works.
That was my point.
I know businesses need to make money but I don't mind paying money for something if the product is worth that.
I don't agree with paying because of a name.

Yip I know.
If people like a rolex and want to buy it that is of course up to them.
It was just the comment about rolex over a seiko I was replying to.
But that sort of comment is exactly what makes rolex who they are, so they have succeeded.

sorry matt only just seen this, the model number of the watch is:
AR3124
I absolutely love my watch, it looks sooo much more expensive than it is (although £300 is stil a chunk of money) I get alot of attention from it and it looks amazing with a Shirt on. Also dresses up casual wear.
Only bad thing is you cant really tell the time in the dark, but who buys a watch to tell the time
Mine hasnt got a scratch on it and i take really good care of it, aim to keep it forever.
Got to love x's 21st presents eh
il get some pics off my phone in a min, bros taken the camera

Cheers Dave
Had a little shop around for insurance prices today in all the differant shops. Its about £30(ish) for 3 years of cover which I worked out to be roughly a quid a month (Thats numberwang!)
One place wanted £54 for 3 years But that covered loss
Then he said he'd do me 10% off which brings it in cheaper than the rest

If I "lose" it in 2 years time though I'd get a new one
Plus my mate lost his expensive watch in town last week when we got into a bit of a brawl

and you are going to buy a panerai?
As far as i'm concered there are enough work and materials in the panerai to justify the cost.
You seem to be missing my point.

Oh FFS,
get out into the wide world you proclaim to live in and get a grip.

I have not contradicted myself at all.
Show me evidence of panerai artificially fixing prices and I will be in the wrong.
Until then i'm not and robbo at least understands what I mean.

Glol.
I suggest you re-visit how/why panerai charge what they do for their watches then...
And to back up your arguement about fixing prices, why don't you ask panerai why they dont actually advertise their prices to the public?
Dont get me wrong, I agree with you about watch price fixing......you are just being hypocrytical with your viewpoint
