Not a friend really, just someone I have bought Piranhas off in the past so known him for a while!
Piranha-Hut.co.uk
And this guy is in Manchester and just setting up, basically just sells the Piranhas the guy above has for him up here. Bananas about Piranhas ...stupid shop name though!

For me it has to be either the Regal tang so classy and delecate (although hard to keep) or the powder blue tang for its style and colours.

Serrasalmus Manueli
I used to own the largest in the UK (9.5") but it died from an internal fungus They grow massive though so wasnt the biggest about but they dont travel well and often die when being shipped.
Working on getting a much larger one into the country at the moment though

Mine is my silver shark. Looks like this, but a bit bigger, so it's darker.

Dont really know enough fish types to have a favourite.
I like anything thats brightly coloured. Like the blue ones above!
Are there any freshwater fish that are quite colourful? I know I'm not going to be able get anything as colourful as marine though!

Clownloach
Neon Tetra
Cardinals
Angels
Rams
Sevrums
Ermm thats about it from what I can think of, there not bad colours

Our tank updates. . .
Stuarts (ruatyarchs) two little boys put everything into the tank (i mean everything) so had to move them all minus 3 missing to my mums tank, totally start the tank again. So at the weekend we got a lobster (small one) Saturday night it was there sunday it was missing!!
The tank is taped up as the fighter jumped out before, iv checked all the bog wood holes and the filter no lobster. If it had managed to get out the kitten would have got it and there would have been bits, iv raked the living room and nothing. Only other thing we can think of is that the boys have moved it but they would have blabbed something by now.
I really dont want to find a crisp lobster somewhere
Other tank with cat is back to normal now after the ammonia spike. he had lost his tail and big chunks out of his flesh but ita all growing back nicely now.
We went to the local FS and they had baby piranah in, guys in the warehouse had forgot to feed them so they ate one anothers eyes. He is selling them off reduced from £10 each to £1 each!!
We were gonna get some but would have to start another tank, they freak me out a bit tho

to be honest yes and no. You could risk a smaller Serrasalmus species that wouldnt take a shot at the RTC due to its size, but a bigger Piranha would probably attack it.

The cat isnt to bad at the moment, i keep him well fed so he doesnt usually try to eat the birchir.
While he was wounded tho the birch kept trying to have a nip, the cat wasnt happy and had its head in his mouth at one point.
Just looking for more unusual big beast to go in a big tank with him, gonna be retty boring if he is alone. Thinking about an arrowana too. We had snakeheads (how much of a bad rep so they have) but someone ate them during the night pussys!

you could try a large Rhom, and it could work with no problems. But mixing them could easily end up with the RTC being killed.

Piranhas are not sexually diamorphic so there is no way to determine which sex is most aggressive. Its basically just hit and miss with regards to aggressiveness as some P's can be really calm and others just plain crazy.

you cant tell the difference between males and females (without cutting them open or doing DNA testing!)

There is a big catfish at one of the aquatics places near me. Its about a metre long at a guess. Its the only thing in the tank on its own. All it has is gravel in the bottom of it. The tank looks like its about 0.7m wide, 1.7 long and 1.5m high so its big but not very big considering the size of the fish in it! It cant turn round without touching sides! Poor thing.
