So to summarise, Steve, formally Steve106Gti has set up a website for all owners of VAG cars and it can be found at http://www.vagweb.co.uk the site also includes image hosting, avatars and brand specific sections and tech forum. That about right?

He was banned for consistently being unable to display tact and diplomacy, despite having opportunity to improve.
The ban wasn't done lightly and was after a large amount of work done previously by many of the staff.
I've had it suggested to me that the ban was a bit strong and that I should have taken the time to teach him how to conduct himself, which is quite ironic given this is generally what I try and do, with generally very little support from members who prefer to take the piss and bicker rather than understand that people are new and young and need giving some guidance.
Quite ironic really, as the suggestion that the ban was strong came from the same people who were not giving the guidance that they were suggesting was actually the answer.
Mentoring new members isn't really what moderation is all about, and any work put in by staff on this is entirely negated when members don't go along with it. Arguments and bickering breed further arguments and bickering. This gets worse, then at the end when its too difficult to unpick and the ban is the only way to have people shut the hell up.
I would like to not have to intervene, but as the number of people helpling are massively outweighed by the number of piss takers, its not an option to leave it to run. Needed to do something.
