thats cool, I have nothing but respect for people who have a genuine reason for supporting a club outside of where they live, especially those who still travel to go and support them.

Its the glory supporters that follow them like they are life long fans that annoy me, but saying that 90% of them now support Chelsea anyway!

Lampard, Ballack & Makalele against sissoko, Alonso & gerrard

Chelsea
Lampard - good going forward but not backwards, scores alot of goals
Ballack - world class midfielder but 29 years old
Makalele - 30+ very defensive, does not attack

Liverpool
Sissoko - Young, can attack and defend
Alonso - Probably the best passer in the Prem, can attack and defend
Gerrard - enough said, can attack, defend, pass, cross, tackle, motivate and score important goals

Would be a good battle when they play each other, i wonder how many times next season??

There cant be a question about who has the best midfield, Alonso, Gerrard and Sissoko easily win that, even in my biased opinion! The new winger we've already signed (Gonzalez) has looked amazing on loan in Spain even though he has only been fit since Feb and is amazingly fast.

I think Rafa will look to sign a right sided player too, possibly someone like Joaquin who has said he wants to come to Liverpool in the past. Or maybe SWP if he does become available (I highly doubt it to us)

If liverpool try to sign Joaquin then im sure chelsea will bid aswell. they dont like the thought of other teams getting stronger so they try to prevent it by throwing money at the situation. SWP is a prime example, and from what i seen on saturday when watching the FA cup final, Ian Wright seems to think SWP would love it at Liverpool, however as said before chelsea won't sell to their rivals.

Iv also heard very good things about Mark Gonzalez. I think Rafa is building a squad where everyone will be happy, where as Chelsea there are always going to be players that are un-happy about not getting a game.

Players like Duff, SWP, Geremi, Wayne Bridge more than likely will not get a game next season. Gudjohnsen has gone from a regular striker to a bit part midfielder in the space of 2 seasons.

Will be an interesting season next year

then it comes down to the individual players. If they say they dont want to go to Chelsea then the club will either have to accept the lower offer or risk the player going on a free when the contract runs out. Owen was in a similar position last year when Newcastle offered more than us, if he had kept his bottle he would of been a Liverpool player this year.

Ive heard that about SWP before. Liverpool had an official bid in for him when Chelsea came in with their bid, City took that and he stupidly went there.

Will be an interesting summer with some big decisions for some players I think, will have to see what happens and if Chelsea can still get everything their way!

he is at Newcastle because he wanted to play first team football, in England, before the world cup.

We offered 12mil, Newcastle offered 16mil. If owen had said no to Newcaslte then Real would of accepted Liverpools offer and he would of been playing for us. He bottled it as didnt want to risk not moving and thats where he ended up. Its his own fault and hope he stays there and they do what they always do, win fuck all.

Makalele's job is to sit and hold, sweep anything up that comes through Lampard and soon to be Ballack, that's what a holding midfielder does, not only that if Gallas or Terry get dragged wide then he can just sit in for them until they get their shape back, again, in his job description, let Lampard and Ballack do the attacking while he does his job 100% correctly.

I think it will be interesting to see Ballack and Lampard in the same line up... I think they will conflict each other... you ALWAYS need a defensive midfielder in some way.. they are both advancing middle of the park people.... we will see what happens

So what if Ballack is 29 years old.....why are people saying hes not that good. Have any of you even watched any of his performances this season?

His performances have been above that of Frank Lampard and he's been on par with Gerrard.

I agree Ballack has been brill for Munich, I seriously hope Lampard and Joe Cole move clubs though, for their own sake.

not really sure how their is more chance of Utd getting him

But yeah, even if Chelsea did decide to sell (which they wont) it wont be to the two closest rivals.

this is typical Utd fan comments though...still kidding yourself that your miles ahead of every team in the Premiership.

Your massively in debt and you wont have anymore cash available to you than Liverpool will this summer, regardless of how many your ground holds. Liverpool would have no trouble filling a 70k ground week in week out so dont pretend you have more support willing to fill a stadium. Your games are like going to the library its that quiet. You are on the decline (you cant argue with that) and havent won anything major for a while now. You no longer have the ability to attract big name players (Ballack for example) and I think you'll find that this summer.

we have 35m this summer... your manager has already stated your budget is not massive

we are not on a decline... this year we are 2nd (compared to 3rd last year) and have a trophy

which big names do you have apart from Gerrard (one man team) please f off with your Crouch crap.. he is shite

Liverpool will not have a ground to hold 70k for a LONG time
