When I had the Corsa everyone would be trying it on but I couldn't fight back as it was only a 1.0. Now I've got the Astra not a single person has tried to race me

having an underpowered car e.g 1.2 8v was crap for driving you could not over take unless the road was long and downhill
had a GT never really drove it hard in the last couple of years of ownership but power was nice to have if you needed it. now own a diesel FFS.
