Come on, lets get real here. This is a bullshit idea that couldn't possibly work or be enforced correctly.

I understand the point your trying to put across here but other people have had to put up with the high insurance and im sure most people on here have had one to many people in their car at one point but i dont think insurance costs going down for not driving in those 5 hours will stop people driving like idiots. If anything you run the risk of them driving while not insured

not during busy times, when roads are empty at night this is when "teenagers" tend to drive faster, more dangerous! Its a fact

they do it at any tme of the day IMHO

That'd do nicely...

em your not taking into account that just becasue a car has a larger engine doesnt meen its faster, more powerful than a car with a smaller engine, my 1.3 swift gti can embaress many cars with much larger engines.

lol i think people are forgetting that even if it goes ahead its not going to reduce premiums by much, it would be just the same as a limited mileage policy.

insurance companies make huge profits from young drivers, there not going to allow anything to compleatly cut out there profits are they.

after all insurance isnt there to help us its a business desinged to bring in money for shareholders.

and young drivers obviously drive faster at night, less people on the road ect thats obvoious.

What a load of wank. Do as Vibs said, heavier fines, and confiscate more of their cars. Then they'll realise its serious.

its not like you need a particuly fast car to drive at daft speeds any way, a lot of people will still manage to do damage in a 1.1 saxo or 1.0 corsa.

That list wouldnt necessarily work either as there could be engine modifications made but the cc size would still stay the same

Great...! So when the little twats go out and race, their insurance (if they even have any) will be invalid, and they will fuck people's lives up even more. lol

Exactly, they'd stil drive at night, just uninsured, so when they do crash and fuck up someone elses car, the innocent victim is left paying for it!
Besides, as also stated, i had a 1.0 corsa and it still went over 80, thats fast enough to cause a serious accident, so limiting engine size wouldnt really work anyways!
