The Kop solved the goals problem last night with a simple instruction.

Yeah fair enough, I take your point. For me we should have been in for Ashton, I see alot of similarities between him and Shearer also Kuyt at Feyenoord looks like a good prospect

cushioned header by Garcia I think, then fowler knocked it home with his head from about 4 yards. Not the greatest goal, but it was his positional sense and movement off the ball that look promising.

Was really hoping he would do well back at Liverpool. He's got more natural ability than the rest of the forward line put together, just a shame he likes the pies too much

has lost a load of weight since being back, he had put it ona s had been injured and not playing. You could see his sharpness coming back yesterday though and was showing some good touches and positions which is what he as always done best.

To be fair I havent seen him since he first arrived back at Liverpool, when he looked miles over weight. If he gets his fitness back and scores a few it could be the best piece of business Rafa has made. He'll certainly play his heart out for the cause.

Just a quick question, Do you guys rate Cisse? Just everytime I see him play I cant help thinking you guy were robbed nearly as badly as we were on Luque

I rate him, and wish he would be given a good solid run of games like Rafa has given Morientes. He has soooo much pace (is apparently faster than Henry when racing at the French national squad) and is just such a danger because of that. But rafa obviously doesnt like him for some reason and wont give him a chance. When he first joined there was a video showing a load of his goals in france and he looked amazing.

Plus 14mil is nothing when you consider he finished top scorer int he french league above Drogba for 2 years running and he cost 24mil!

I just sometimes wonder whether or not some of these foreigners just aren't cut out for the premier league.

I'm hoping Luque will be given a run and will eventually come good, but I'm not holding my breath. There was a similar video on google of him for Deportivo and I had watched him once or twice on Sky and he looked pacey and skillful. For us he just looks slow and not up for the challenge

To be fair though mate Drogba is realistically worth about £10M-£12M tops, it's only because it was Chelsea that he went for £24M

I don't rate cisse, he's not been played to his strengths for any length of time but he doesn't look commited to anything and what he supposedly has as an edge in pace he certainly doesn't have with his touch and he 's not the most intelligent of strikers. We'll be rid at the end of the season for 8m ish imo.

His touch isnt going to be there when playing for 15mins every now and then! If we played him off crouch or mori so they can knock it on for his pace then we would see a totally different player. But at the moment we are trying to play wide and cross in for the big guys and its just not to his strengths at all!

Plus, its no coincidence that we scored 3 last night after he came on. We had no threat upfront before, no pace for when the ball came out and by the time we got up the pitch they had most of their team back.

The thing is as you say if we play him wide he cannot do anything but I didn't see him do much down the middle and he beats his wife up

He's never settled into our team/league and has been given enough chances imo.

he isnt a wide man, its like asking fowler to play wide! Its only as he has pace everyone expects him to beable to play there, and then say well you had your chance!

He has been with us for 1 1/2 seasons, and has been out for half that time with his broken leg. The other half has been on the bench or on the wing, with 10mins max normally upfront if he ever gets up there. He just hasnt had the chance to settle in or show what he can do, but sadly I doubt he will get the chance.

I just hope we sign someone with pace as his replacement, as otherwise I dont hold much hope for next season!
