I *think* I might have a old SR tailgate in my dads garage, it's black and without the spoiler but I'm pretty certain it has the glass and rubber etc, not sure of the condition of it though, I'll hopefully pop up there tomorrow and have a look

its not the fitting thts a problem Phil, it was a major headache getting a rubber for it, as vauxhall said they only had 3 and wanted 60 quid plus vat for one

Thats quite common to pop the rear window out by removing the seal, I found myself helping a mate do this to his nova when he locked his keys in the car...

You should of used the parcel tape to make a Burbery pattern like on the seats on some early GTEs...might repel the chavs out of respect for the Burbery
