I know what you mean, but what if you got some more mods for a short period of time and clamped down on the crap, that way people would realise that its not needed and would learn to not post it and would do away with the constent need to moderate....

I think it might be an idea to appoint moderators who actually come on here
if i'm right, one of the current moderators is Trotty, who last came one when?
also, Adam rarely comes on, just sort of shows his authority now and again by deleting something, then hibernates for 5 months
i'm only going on my own judgement there though, i may be wrong

I only found out myself the other day when I was browsing a really old thread and it just says "Premium Member" only under his name.

You're quite right Rob, a staff shuffle is overdue, but again I would like the staff involved to be honest and say they're not around as much as they should be and step down.
As that doesn't appear to be working I'll do it myself at some point.

It's a simple case of right and wrong really, the same moral/ethical/sensible rules by which you conduct your daily business can be applied on here. You should know if someone's going to take offence at your posts, or if they're spam, or just generally pants - I can generally tell if something's worthy of being trashed, and doubt I'm alone in that respect.
People should just think a little more before posting IMO.
I'm not saying I'm innocent of posting rubbish on occasion, but some people only seem to do just that. CS is a great example of a forum, and that's largely due to the members here. I think it's something to be proud of and preserved as far as possible.
Well that's my immediate thoughts on all this anyway.

so instead of aresignation, it will be more of a forced sacking?
i take it there is a staff room? could you not make a post in there so sopme mods can step down
you may have done already, but i obviously cant tell

Posting about things other than cars is one thing
Posting something fairly silly can be funny. In small doses
Going OTT with pointless comments in every thread possible is taking the piss a little.
Arguing that it is acceptable doesn't really make sense. Looks like some people either have a rather warped view point on this matter or they just straight disagree with what ever decision is made in an attempt to look clever
Doesn't really work though

which is how i heard about this site - migweb generally taking the piss out of corsasport for no doubt the lack of maturity. Im sure other sites are given a lot more respect when it comes to car shows etc. I think everyone knows how bad corsasport can be at times.

Seriously though, I have no idea, why has Ollie been banned?

Thank you Sam - I'm still not entirely sure of the score though.
Would I be correct in the assumption that he was very offensive to or about someone, possibly regarding their bad breath?

I'll take that as a yes then.
It must have been pretty abusive to incur a banning.

No the amount of work to find and remove warrented the ban. The posts themselves were not massively offensive.

Thanks Ian.
I'm still a little cloudy on the subject though.
Apologies for my ignorance.
Did someone make a complaint about him, or did you spot something nasty that led you to check the rest of his recent posts?
Sorry again to be a pain in the arse by asking silly questions and dragging the matter on, i'm sure you must be bored with all this by now.
I'm just quite fascinated.
