Part Time Parts Guy
Currently in 4th year of uni doing Webpage Design & Development, got an HND in software development and an NC in computing.
Used to be a Minilab technician but was full time and I was struggling with uni work. Think I'll go back to this after uni as it was a pretty good job.

Audio Visual Installation Engineer
Left school with 9 gcse's, went to college and got an AVCE in business. Then couldnt find a job so worked at Sainsburys full time.
The company I work for now is 2 mins from my house, I saw the name of the company and it interested me so I found the website and sent an email off to Personel manager in York. Got a phone call that day asking me to go for an interview and they offered me the job straight away although I had no experience or qualifications.
I could have stayed at Sainsburys as they really wanted me to stay and so offered me management oportunities but its not what I wanted and hopefully I can earn more this way

Systems & Network Engineer
Network Operations Centre (NOC) for an ISP
9 GCSEs (4 A's, 2 B's, 3 C's)
3 A-Levels (BCD)
1 Degree (BSc Maths)
2.5 years related experience, working for a company after I graduated. Decided to switch companies, following a few other people from the old company to the new, after the old company started to get into financial difficulties.
Started on 1st Line Support (phones), did that for 12 months, moved to 2nd Line Support (not quite as much phones, more advisory to 1st Line and intermediary to 3rd Line), moved to NOC after just 3 months on 2nd Line...

Dunno what my job title would be, I am a partner in the family business and I manage the shop so i guess it would be partner/manager
How I got the job, was born into the family.
To be fair I got it pretty easy which although is good, I dont like the fact I got given a lot on a plate.
I do plan to start other businesses with my own money when I am a bit older though.
Perhaps get into property as that seems to be where the money is at, though I hear its tough to get into.
I'lll give that side of things more thought come the time

Anyone with a fair few quid can do it aslong as they have time to sort things out and be flexible when a sticky patch is hit.
