i bet vauxhall can get hold of the bearings, ffs if warren g of WG Motorworx can get them im sure a marginally bigger company like vauxhall can, but i reckon they choose to say they cant because they make more money from doing a swap out for a new/recon box, and as lee said if its warranty work its probably cheaper still

either way its still wrong imo

Of course they can get the parts. If you know the size and spec of them you can drop into a bearing supplier and they ought to be able to get hold of them for you or even stock them, it's obviously a case of car dealerships sprouting shite and Vauxhall owners thinking they drive supercars with highly bespoke gearboxes.

Another update:

Kwik fit fucked up the rebuild and now they have offered him 2 free services and have sacked the guy who ruined the box, who im being told was an apprentice. They cant replace the box though.

They just said their trained staff were more than capable to do it within a tight time scale hence why it was done / attempted today.

I took my car to Kwik Fit ONCE to get my tracking done as the garage I normally use dont do it and Kwit Fit was the cheapest....never again, they dont have a fucking clue what they're doing.
