 | Really hope people from glasgow and the surrounding area make the effort, bit of a bummer if archies made the effort to centralise the location and nobody local turns up

 | Just think, if all the doubters just turn up instead of doubting, it'll be a boss meet. I'd have been up for this but I've got my NWNW meet starting an hour later.

End of the day, the meets are what the attendees make them. You (as a region) are in the good position of having a fresh start, if you like the idea of having meets, turn up, have your say on what you think would be good to do for the meets and that'll result in good meets that you enjoy and that's what it's all about.

Purely for the fact this is the first meet will get interest up, it's something new, people wanna see what it's all about so you WILL get decent numbers, obviously some will be wary and see how this one goes before committing but a lot of you already know each other so there's a lot less of the meeting new people nerves but it's a fresh start ready to be shaped to fit around what the region wants.

That's coming from someone who's attended all but 1 NWNW meets since Feb 07, I got a good first impression and it stuck, simple

And before I go, if you out do my NWNW meet I won't be happy

 | I've been a member on here long enough buddy to work out that no matter how many names are on a list it means nothing.

The fact is that down south its easier to have local meets as there all in there little sections. Up here its a lot different, for example the difference between northern scotland and central scotland is over 100 miles. Thats a long way to travel to have a chat in the middle of a car park.

I hope this does turn out to be a good meet tho.

 | I don't disagree with any of that, I even have issues with distance in a smaller region. To drive from the North to the South of our region is a 3 hour drive down the M6 so even if it's central you could have people upto 2 hours away either side. It's about working out what places work, it's no good loads of you going to Aberdeen if you've all got to drive for a couple of hours to get there but no-one local attends.

I just don't see the point in the negative posts, it just breeds negativity which doesn't help anyone, especially not Adam and Archie who have chose to become organisers to try and get the region more active again. Imo your negative posts have achieved nothing apart from potentially putting people off the idea of attending and therefore would be more productive if they were never posted.

This isn't a personal dig, just a point I thought was worth making
