Why does it? Limiting yourself just to Vauxhall, just because its all you know ain't the best idea.

If he's in that line of business anyway, parts should be cheaper than going rate. Product knowledge isnt difficult with the forums around, can easily find out what he needs etc. Working on it is no different from others. If your that way inclined you'll have a basic understanding of what to look for generally so it wouldn't make much different.

Restricting himself just to Vauxhalls just because he works for them is madness. Its like staying in the UK all your life just because you were born here. Be a dare devil, try something new.

i worked for VW, the vw techs had vw's
worked for audi, the audi techs had Audi's

it makes so much sense for dodgy warrenty claims, knowledge, parts and everything else to get a car made by the manufacturer you work for

its not madness, it makes perfect sense from a knowledge and looking after it for as cheaply as possible, and it happens with most dealer groups

Can see both sides tbh. And jr, i think people would notice working on your own car

My mate at grey paul gets cheap bits from synter (for my beemer if i ever need them), vauxhall for my old corsa etc.

Ive noticed alot of people who work at vauxhalls stick to vauxhalls for life (thats what its like at my local dealership anyways)

Sell the stolen parts and sell them to fund the cost of parts for your car if its a different manufactuer.
