I now have some help in looking for my bumper and a little info on who may have stole it if the theif is local that is, but nothing rock solid yet. Luckily I grew up with majority of the now local drug dealers/gangsters etc so spent most of today on the phone getting them on the case, been some propper csi shit going down in tipton today lol.
1st - I've got a propper gangster mate I who I went to school with and he's put the word out that he's after a black gsi bumper. If/when he finds it we're going to take whoever has got it to some woods for a few days and marry them to a tree, nice weather for it  There will be NO come backs if this friend is involved and i'll probably end up getting the money beat out of the little shit to pay for the repair too.
2nd - There is a bloke 2 streets away from me who breaks cars in his back garden for cash in order to do insurance fraud. My mate rekons he also repairs dodgy cars with stolen parts and sells them at silly prices to get rid of them fast. The police must know about this too as they told me about a possible suspect who seems to be linked to most car crimes in the area but they wouldn't tell me who it was so I found out for my self, I even know the which house and the geezers first name  . Problem is I have no proof so can't just knock his door and acuse him really.
3rd - My cousin used to work at a local bodyshop known for cheap spray jobs, like £300 for a full paint job because most of the cars bought to him a dodgy so he gets them in and out fast. He said they used to deal with most the criminals in the area so he went down for me today to see if he could spot my bumper but couldn't see anything. He's told his old boss, who is a good friend, to give him a ring as soon as someone comes in with a gsi bumper need spraying or repairing. He has done the same with 3 other local bodyshops so if it gets repaired locally I will find out who has taken it there - enter gangster mate.
So far i've got about 5 square mile covered with badmans looking for a bumper lol. Need to grow up but i'm determined to find the fool who took it.

The police are checking cctv footage from my street but there is no way the camera can see my car because its down the other end about 30 houses down  It all depends if the theif went that way after taking it or came in the street that end.

As for getting another one, i got a brand new genuine vaux gsi bumper, in primer from a vauxhall in Scotland, posted to me, for £75! It was stock they wanted rid of at stupidly low prices! Got the joining panel underneath for £8 instead of £37!

I see so many poverty spec astra's with GSi bumpers, must be massive money in it
And I'd probably have a GSi otherwise!
