Bit of an update for you guys. Just got back from the doctors. I've torn a muscle in my neck...no whiplash unfortunately lol.

Insurance have just left me a message to say that shes admitted full liability so thats a plus. The lad that went into the back of me before took ages to admit it so I'm glad shes not going to start messing me about

Same happened in my exs corsa, they wrote it of due to uneconomical repair, got £1100 for the car, bought it back for £110 and i fixed it for £247 including the test to get it back on the road
Its not the end as her car got shunted into a car with tow hook so the front end was fubbared too. I worked on the front end and when i got annoyed i went and beat the shit out of the rear pannels untill they were straight

Not good news guys Just went down to Spice Paints who have done all the work on the car to get a quote, they have said its a 100% write off. They have said to put it back to how it was is going to cost well over the cars value

However, the said that we may be able to sort out a deal with the insurance. As the car obviously has a much higher value in terms of after market parts fitted we are hoping that we may be able to do a deal if we use second hand parts. However, the back panel needs to be replaced which is the killer we are getting an engineer to come to Spice to see what can maybe be done but its not looking good.

Me and my dad are going to have a chat about what to do with the car tonight before I tell the insurance. However, due to repairs costs I think it may be the end of the road for the Corsa

Im absolutely gutted!

Do you have an agreeed value with insurance? I.E would the payout be decent or like you say best to split and put back to standard IF worst case they write it off?

As its the other persons fault you need to make sure your not loosing out in any way..

such a shame i knew it wasnt going to be good news due to the cost of labour and parts

if the insurance write the car off i would ask them what can you do with the parts that fitted when i wrote off my first corsa i ask the insurance about the stuff that was fitted on the car they said if i had standard alloys and suspension i could swop the bits over

so even tho i had my mods covered i got my speedlines and spax coilovers off the car and a few other bits aswell which i was happy with + i got quite a bit of money off them so i was made up..... its worth asking them

if the car is 100% written off, i'd start stripping it asap and give them pretty much a shell when they come to collect.

i wouldn't let anything of value (aftermarket parts wise) go with the car tbh

Yeah Ive not told them yet, just buying some time at the minute

Just doesn't seem real. All that time and money just going down the drain. I could cry.

Gutted for you such a nice car, watched the project thread and seeing it go from a standard white corsa to how it is now, there's always a positive though, it's a good job you hadn't put the engine in, then you would be mega trevor gutted, and alot of wasted money.
