either xe it now...you'll get money back for the motor when LET it anyway. or just buy an LET and rebuild it ready, atleast then you know it will be a good motor.
and yeah i know fat phil, lives round the corner from me. drives like a todger
I'm going for a LET next year Phil, how much do you charge for rebuild for one?

ill be behind you then when its wet and you stack it into the 1st roundabout, hedge, curb, etc to buy the motor off you.
if 6months or whatever build a decent LET, find a 6speed box, get all your mounts, shafts etc ready to do it, thats will cost best part of £2k id think, then need better brakes, suspension(dont know what you got on already) not as easy as just putting an LET in!
I went from a 1.6 to a LET and never stacked it

He spent £1000 on the X16xeturbo conversion. The retop corsa was 170-190bhp.
He's buying a Astra mk5 1.9sri with the sport body pack thingy on finance.
Think he's splitting the corsa because knowone wants a turbo 16XE.

When I asked about that before, apparently the XE has cams and that's it or something. So really, it'll be 155-160bhp at the very very very best. And judging by the owners' wild claims, I suspect they are a cowboy and it's a tired old engine too

It probably is possible. Hubs from LMF are £40, mounts are £70. Can get an engine for £250 and inner cv's are £40 iirc. Using standard brakes, shafts etc you could get it done for £400. But it's not always recommended.

people seem to think on here you need to spend big money to do things properly, i agree to an extent that you get what you pay for but tbh, you can do a good job on a budget

That's what I thought as well, but so far I've spent £1900 on the engine and smaller bits, there is no such thing as a budget build.

Well i dont know then, obviously wasnt 190bph then, Chinese whispers gone mad round my way.
But back to topic. Decided im going to get the Dbilas inlet off Bettley with software etc for £200. then probably leave the engine bay for abit.
Spend some time getting it all colour coded and lookin nice.
Cheers for everyones opinions
