Didn't you look elsewhere apart from PH?
Yea auto-trader, ebay didn't find much near me tbh went to local garages etc and didn't find much at all! I did see some nicer models a few 2005 plate ones with similar mileage but they were close to 10k
err - http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1108843.htm
much rather have that than one wit red carpet
you missed the other specs
what spec has he missed?
Red Recaro Bucket Seats
Leather MOMO steering wheel
Air-con as standard

According to parkers a standard model is actually worth more
And either of them are worth 2k less than you paid

I've just seen the link for the 2005 up for 6700, you'd get that for no much over 6, which is realistically what it's worth.
Without joking i'd back out and go elsewhere.
You'll have lost 3k as soon as you put the keys in the ignition.

It looks like an immaculate low mileage unmodified example, if he's willing to pay the money then I don't see a problem. All the cars Barnshaw posted either have something wrong with them or are modded in some chavvy way.
Go for it you won't regret it

Who the fuck are you to say that it's not worth it? If HE buys the car and HE's happy with it, it's worth it
I agree with the masses that the price is a bit high, but if you're happy then fuck it! It's a nice looking motor mate.

Yes
Typical misty eyed new car buyer gets the first thing he sees and is prepared to pay over the odds for it.
You buy that car and it will loose 3k as soon as you transfer your name onto the logbook, you are a first class idiot if you pay 7k for it! Go elsewhere. id not pay over 5k for a CTR regardless of what spec or goodies it comes with as its still a CTR and will never be anything special!

Ive paid over the odds a few times for low mileage mint examples - a car thats been looked after and well maintained generally means it will cost you less in the long run so if your happy with it mate stride on and enjoy it!

I've been looking and it's not too bad actually....
There is a few shitty high miler 53 onwards cars. The rest are either accident repaired or have some form of modifications done.
Don't blame you for paying the extra now. My only gripe is that Civic Type-R's are popstar money for an older car.
You are paying an extra premium for the special edition, but those seats are lovely to sit in.

yes the seats are very nice they probably swayed it for me tbh, the car has been very well looked after and is in mint condition! At the end of the day it's a good upgrade from the corsa and in terms of distance that was the closest by miles! Just got an insurance quote from bell for £745 fully comp quinn direct won't even quote me on it

Good price on insurance that
End of the day you have paid the higher end of the spectrum for it. But you are buying something that you are 100% happy with and has been well looked after. You can buy them for well but they have faults somewhere along the line.
Plus dispite the ani version not been that differnt they do hold their money better and if you dont do loads of miles it will still keep the miles relitivly low.
Plus the seats are gorgous, so much better then the standard one s

I don't think it's massivley overpriced compared to other decent standard ones on Autotrader.
All the other Anniversary ones are dearer too.
