It was yip, I was only saying that because rob always slags me for liking the fabia, doesn't look like he's owned one though so doesn't know what he's talking about, was an example he could relate to.

Whats it like pulling off at 2000rpm then change gear at 2500rpm in the fabia?
Must be pretty hard work keeping it in the powerband?

It annoys me too mate when people slate scoobys and havn't even driven/owned one
We all just know what we like mate..as long as you like it then that's all that matters.

I want to buy my brother's off him! It's like hitting warp-speed compared to the 182... unfortunately I can't really afford to insure it until next year
I pay the same for my UK classic as i did for my 182 mate...it's all about the company
Give Rob @ A Plan a call he'll sort you out. What's your bro got?
He's got a classic. We don't know what power it's running but we've had a play with other WRX's and beaten them! I wanna convince him to get it RR'd.
How much are you paying? I'm 24 with 4yrs NCB paying £650 fully comp on my 182. But I done a quote as me being 25 with 5yrs NCB (as I will be come August) and I can't get it for under a grand, even third party!

I didnt think the clutch was any hevier then my civic just a bit more sudden.
Build quality is still miles better then saxos and 106's just not vag standard. But yer the driving position is a bit weird. If I end up getting one I would get the seat rails modded so it was a bit lower
Drives supercharged Tec with torque

Such a load of rubbish people write on the internet, everyone over exaggerates. The seating position is fine. My clutch is fine? Gets squeaky after going on track but thats it. John you know you can adjust the steering wheel tilt.

Youd just get used to it, its not an issue at all.

You can't adjust it enough, the wheel is massive and it's tilted up, compared to any other car i've been in.
The clutch is crap, not because it's heavy, it's just got a terrible feel, then it's heavy as well.

Does someone fancy explaining what differs from a 172/182 cup/non-cup?
From what I can tell the 172 is the one with the plain 5 spokes & normal exhaust? The 182 has the twin exit exhaust & 8 spoke wheels?
Then the cups have lightweight wheels & less flashy interiors??
