The Formula Student competition only uses the main staright for the accelration test, and the complex before it (can't remember the name) for the time trial and endurance events.

it was fun last year. we used the whole track on thursday and found it better than knockhill, may bebecause the car i was using

I'm not involved in it, I used to be though.

And no, there is no side by side racing as such - in the endurance event all the cars run on track simultaneously, but the coned track is too narrow for racing and for that reason overtaking lanes are used.

Better for what? More fun?

Its cert a faster track (National) but its all so flat and open! No Drama to it!

I'm not directly involved with the team, just been teaching them Powertrain this year and keeping an eye on the engine side of things.

You can't enter the car in any other events.
