i drive an r32 mk5 about 20 miles on motorway. thing pulled like a train, not blistering quick but still quick, absolute pleasure to drive, handled lovely and exhaust note can only be described as sexual imo.

ur right mate, mine is mapped to 212hp and the r32 i raced was mapped to around 250/260 but there is only around 5hp in power/weight ratio.

a pd150 can be mapped to around 220 with the dpf removed cant it?

180-190 from what i hear, any way, you wouldnt beat an r32 no way, maybe in a well tuned 1.8t you could, but thats basicly only because youd have the same power in a slightly lighter car but r32 would own you in the wet anyway my gti 150 cant put the power down ffs

R32's are such a smooth motor, dont feel quick at all. but the speedo climbs lovely and smooth!! and rather quickly, the noise is immense and if they have the big massive seats in then jobs a winner

ive seen a mapped pd150 go and it would make a r32 look like its in reverse. r32s got a bit lump upfront remember which isnt really that powerful

OMFG, i give up with Corsasport, Owning the same model car or a VAG car GREAT, that doesnt mean you have any experience. I've owned a 220 bhp ibiza cupra and it was the most boring thing to drive in the world and i mk4 golf certainly isn't anymore entertaining.

Great now someone who has seen a pd150 go so on that basis it would make a r32 look like it's in reverse.

Hang on.... you're arguing with me bout a PD150 mapped not being equal to an R32 or beating it right....

So heres me, with experience of driving the above PD150 and an R32 and also owning another vag diesel... So how do you work out i have no experience?

wooopdeedooo, you have owned a ibiza cupra and a mk4 golf... absolutely nothing to do with the original argument.

I'll no bother with any further replies as you seem to be set in ur ways about the R32 being the be all and end all
