Yup, i give them a few warnings first, a glare in the mirror, maybe a few "get off my arse" hand signs. Failure to co-operate will result in an quick stamp on the brakes.

Always works. Especially with Vans who then loose all momentum.

10 years road driving later, worked so far.

Or you could just admit that you don't actually stamp on the brake.

That was what i was digging at. Stamping on the brake to me is foot to the floor, emergency stop...no if you did this often, you would have a smashed up car every week

If you stamp on your foot, do you keep it pressed hard to the ground? Or do you STAMP and release pressure.

In fact, i dont need IE cool points, Come sit behined me in a car and find out

An emergency stop is not aQUICK stamp on the brakes is it

As annoying as it is, if someone is tailgating me, I just pull over and let them pass.

Its all very well saying that you'd just stamp on the brakes and they'd drive into the back of you, but these days it isn't automatically going to be the fault of the driver behind.

To be honest, if you're going to that much trouble you are probably more of a hazard than the guy behind.

I would rather lose by a mile because i built my own car, than win by an inch because someone else built it for me.

No chance you'd notice that unless you were looking specifically for it.

I used to share your view. Until I was being tailgated, didn't speed up but moved to the left and they overtook before cutting in and jamming on in front of me "to teach me a lesson for driving like a twat". Yeah. At 30mph. That'll be the speed limit then, even at 11pm.

Still annoys me that.

Got to love the police. Stopping all those accidents and all, you know the ones? The ones where the car spontaneously explodes killing all children and old people in a 1m radius when you exceed 30mph.

So now you have the quickest reactions in the world to apply a stamp and accelerate as to not cause an accident , since you regularly stamp when someone is tailgating you, but don't regularly have accidents. Did you borrow a spade off Vsport Dave?
